Singapore Bar-Disco

Singapore after dark is a city of contrasts - sizzling hot and relaxingly chilled out. Sundown is one of the most captivating and seductive times of this busy nation. Watch the buzz of city mellow and meld with the crimson hue of the evening. Our city lights signal the start of a great night ahead.

For the serious party animal, your night is not complete without a visit to the Tourism Award winners of “Best Nightspots 2004”, each with their individual eccentric experience: Thumper at Scotts Road is the place to be seen – and heard. Bar hanging, terrace schmoozing, late-night dancing – Thumper is truly a party bar. New Asia Bar & Grill at Raffles City gets you high – literally.

If partying 71 floors above the ground doesn’t sweep you off your feet, the chocolate-flavoured cocktails will. A hot favourite among executives and expatriates, Bar None is the epitome of contemporary and rock ‘n roll. Or for an out-of-this-world experience, the underwater theme Aquadisiac is a playground for the wild and wacky. And who can forget the iconic Zouk which won the "Best Nightspot Experience for 2005"? With clubs, a wine bar and blistering live bands, Zouk is a household name for party!

Boat Quay

After a long day in Singapore's Shenton Way business district, office executives just walk over to Boat Quay to party and unwind the night away.

There's quite a mix of nightspots occupying the beautifully restored 19th-century shophouses; there're chill-out spots such as Q-Bar, jazz at Harry's and beer pubs like Molly Malone's; something for everyone and anyone. It really is the People's river, and this is where you get to see different locals, expatriates and travellers mixing and partying together.

On the other side of the river is Empress Place. With the Parliament House, Victoria Concert Hall and Theatre around it, Empress Place is the place for quiet, classy, high-end waterfront dining.

These entertainment establishments commonly open in the evening till late at night. Please call the respective outlets or visit their website (if available) for more information.

Holland Village
For a bohemian experience in Singapore, visit Holland Village - the perfect locale for a laid-back night-out in a charming blend of old and new.

From the 1930's to the withdrawal of the British in the 1970's, Holland Village has always been a centre for expatriates. This has reached a comfortable balance with the increased local patronage. The quaint appeal of Holland Village has always been its casual, understated feel.
