Golden Sweat

"How long should you stay in Bangkok?"

Be prepared …

Tuk Tuk Driver

Bangkok is a touristy hotspot, literally speaking. With an average of above 30 degrees Celsius across the year, the place called Krung Thep Mahanakhon oscillates from “It’s very hot today!” to “What am I doing in this stove today?” Imagine that the coldest daytime maximum temperature ever recorded was 22.3 °C (72 °F) in December 1999.

Be prepared to sweat your brain off.

Temple Sunset

The Chao Phraya River that cuts the megalopolis into separate patches of land does give a mere refreshing splash when in the middle of the day you are going to faint after your twentieth bottle of water, and before your fifth washroom trek. What the river is useful for is to go to one place to another in a minimum of times, but is not strong enough to give you enough cooling effect to support the over crowded region.

Be prepared to drink your belly off.

Elephant Ride

Not only the place has officially the longest name of the planet, but also it has the most ambiguous number of inhabitant on earth. Depending of which ranking you look at, BKK could be as low as 5 millions, or as high as 15 millions. A quick walk along its shopping area during the day to take advantage of the air conditioner, or along its looping area during the night to take advantage of the hair conditioner, you will experienced that the place is crowded.

Be prepared to walk your feet off.

Camera Gym

Bangkok is Thailand's major tourist gateway, making the city a must spend a night on arrival and departure, but make sure you have enough memories left on your camera to capture all the golden historical venues such as the Grand Palace (official residence of the Kings of Thailand), Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha), or Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn).

Be prepared to snap your camera off.

Monk Business

"How long should you stay in Bangkok?"

It doesn’t matter if you stray one hour or one year in Bangkok, you should stay as long as you can, but be prepared to sweat, drink, walk and snap your traveling genius off.
